Centra – Retail food Safety Update July 2020

  1. Audits
  • Audits will commence on 4th August 2020
  • Stores that are due to be audited in August will receive an email by cob Tuesday 14th July indicating that they are in the schedule of audits for the month of August
  • This email will be sent to the general email address that is used by stores, please ensure this email account is checked and the relevant personnel in store are notified of the impending audit
  • This notification will not give the specific time or date of the audit
  • A reminder notification will be sent in the last week of August
  1. Retail Food Safety Manual and Musgrave Retail Food Safety Standard
  1. Auditing Template
    • The checklist that will be used by the Lloyds Register Auditing Team has been uploaded to the Harmony site
  1. Elearning & Webinars
    • Elearning modules should be completed by all individuals in store that are impacted by the changes to the Food Safety Programme
    • A recording of the webinar held on Wednesday 26th June is available on Harmony for those of you that were unable to attend
    • A question and answer summary of all of the questions asked during the webinars is also available these are located on Harmony under Food Safety / Lloyds Register

Key actions ahead of the audits commencing:

  1. Watch out for the hard copies of the Musgrave Retail Food Safety Standard and Retail Food Safety Manual being delivered over the coming number of days
  2. Complete the elearning training
  3. Watch the webinar recording if you were unable to attend a live session
  4. Complete an internal audit in store to be prepared for the upcoming audit
  5. Ensure you check your email next week to see if you are on the list for auditing in August
  6. Print off the new HACCP plan and flow and display in store

Review the changed procedures as per the elearning modules and update staff regarding the changes including why the changes are being made
